Key Transponders – At Last Chance we program a lot of transponders but we can’t do them all. Unfortunately prices on the programs to do the programming are expensive. So please call first to check on availability.Transponders are used to start the vehicle. When the key is turned in the ignition there is a code read by the vehicle. Then it will only start if the correct code is received correctly. This system was introduced to help reduce vehicle crime. If the auto transponder key is missing or faulty the automobile will not start.

Milled Automotive Keys – Milling a key is a process of machining flat, curved, or irregular surfaces by feeding the key against a rotating cutter containing a number of cutting edges. More and more vehicle manufacturers are turning to the side milled key. Duplicating these keys require a specialized machine. They are typically referred to as a “flip” key, due to the way the blade stores in the key fob and flips out for use when a button is pressed. Advantages of side milling are security, tumbler actuation, hang load tolerance. Added security is hands down the main benefit.
